Alchemy Skateboarding is a rad local non-profit based in Tacoma, Washington right up the street from our factory. Over the past couple weeks we have been meeting up with Taylor Woodruff for some night sessions at the indoor skate park and on the mini ramp.
We are also stoked to be working with them on Go Skate Day Tacoma Saturday, June 18, 2016 11am-6pm. The Go Skate Tacoma event is a city-wide celebration of skateboarding! The event is unique in that not only are there competitions for skaters to showcase their skills and compete for prizes, but also free "learn to skate" camps for youth and first timers. We designed this as a fun event for EVERYONE, skaters and non-skaters alike congregate to share in the fun of skateboarding! There will also be longboard demos and some of our team riders there that day. We are setting up a learn to stop clinic on the prairie line trail at University Washington Tacoma and we should have a few mini obstacles to rip! It's going to be a damn good time.
Back to the skate sessions. Taylor, DB team rider Devon Dotson and local rippers Bailey Walker, Trevor Kajca, Shane McNulty and Keegan have been throwing down. Our Mini Cruiser has been a super fun board to ride during these sessions also. Checkout some of the photos below, peep the Mini Cruiser and make sure to checkout Alchemy Skateboarding and Grit City Grindhouse and we will see all of you at Go Skate Day Tacoma!
